Website re-platform and development for an antiques online store
The Brief
Hickmet Fine Arts is an antique business established in 1936 that specialises in selling Art Nouveau and Art Deco sculpture and glass, both online and at antique fairs. Their original website was built on Wordpress and was becoming unmanageable for them with apps and additions to the site no longer working well together.
They wanted a reliable e-commerce solution with a more user-friendly CMS. To maintain the branding and layout of their original website keeping consistency for their customer as well as maintaining their excellent SEO and Google ranking. In addition to adding new functionality and making the site much easier for them to manage on a daily basis.
The Result
The site is built on Shopify, one of the best platforms for e-commerce websites, it has a very user-friendly CMS which the client loved. I added a Shop by Artist section and menu which automatically updates when a product by a new artist is listed on the shop. The site is fully optimised for web and devises. I fully managed the re-platforming of the website from Wordpress to Shopify maintaining and improving on the clients excellent SEO and Google ranking. I am currently carrying out Social Media marketing for the client as well as tracking and tweaking their SEO ensuring they are on the first page of Google for all their important keywords.
